Little Zack

A couple weeks back, I snatched my nephew Zack up at my parents house and snuck in a few impromtu pictures in the grass. Thought I'd share a few while you wait patiently to see the images I got during my mini-sessions at Elmwood Park! The sessions were great and I can't wait to share the goods.

It was quite the day, I feel like I walked a bazillion miles and endured a life time supply of squats in 6 hours...

oh wait, I did!

Baby Trevon

Meet Trevon. He was a sleeper! He woke up a couple times but overall he slept nearly the entire time. His amazing complexion, chubby cheeks and perfectly, squishy lips made for some adorable photos.

In addition to the photos, I was able to create an announcement for mom to send out to friends and family.

And... a quick reminder - slots are filling up for the mini-sessions next week at the park. Contact me to snatch up one of last available!

Nick and Ashley's Wedding

My first wedding complete. Wow. Who would have ever thought! While there were a few rough patches during the evening (for me, not them!), I managed to capture some good pictures. I can't wait to get the proofs printed and the whole package delivered to the newlyweds.

From Birth to One....

My cousin's little girl, Mia, is turning one already! Not long ago, I was designing her birth announcements. The theme of her party is cupcakes with the colors pink and chocolate. She is such a doll... check her out below.

Back to School....

I'm still here, just been a bit busy lately. But, good news for you, that means I've got stuff to share right! Shortly, I will be posting pictures from a WEDDING! Yes, I actually shot my first wedding, I was a little nervous (okay, scared to death actually) but I managed to capture some pretty good pictures that I can't wait to share. For now though, take a peek at Lucy and Max on their first day at their new school. They were so excited to go...

and so exhausted when they got home!

Announcing....

One of the main reasons for me to take Eva's pictures was to make a birth announcement to send to family and friends. How cute did this turn out!

Sweet Little Eva

Eva Elizabeth was less than pleased having me use her for my very first newborn photo shoot! I think she probably sensed my nerves and was annoyed with me trying to prop her up in positions she really didn't like. I did however manage to sneak a few cute ones!

This one is my favorite... she looks so sweet!

Tattoo

One of my favorite things is designing (and getting) tattoos. It is extremely challenging because I try to encompass the entire person, their life and the meaning into the tattoo. This is going to go to the grave with this person, most likely, so it has to look good. It's interesting because even though I design the initial concept, the tattoo artist will still add their personal talent to the design, the tattoo artist easily can make or break a design.

Jeff got tattoo number five this past weekend. He has been itching to get one, and had a gift certificate burning a hole in his pocket. He had the idea but I was the one required to bring it to life. I began working on it Friday evening, we made some adjustments to it on Saturday morning and that night, it was done. Dr. Jacks in Millard has an incredible staff, Jay is the one who did this tattoo, he has amazing talent. At the left, is the initial artwork that was provided to Jay, and obviously, at the right is the final product.

My husband and I are Jimmy Buffet fans, if you look at the time on the watch it is set to 5pm. The globe in the middle of the face represents "somewhere"... No matter where Jeff may be, it's always "5 o'clock somewhere...."

My only problem with tattoos is the addiction. Many people have said before once you get one, you can't stop - so very true... I would love to get another but I haven't found anything I have to have, much less a very desirable spot to put it quite yet. It's a work in progress I suppose... I've got time.
