Tough Guy...

Max turned four at the end of May, and while I took his pictures a while back, I have struggled to find the time (and motivation) to do anything with them. And... what was I thinking - he is such a little stud, what was I waiting for? Check out my little tough guy, was not happy at all with getting his pics taken but he survived.... just barely.

the Newlyweds

My cousin was married about a month ago and I, of course, took the ol' camera along to snap a few images. Both my kids were in the wedding so I definately had to get them while dressed up and behaving like angels!

The wedding was beautiful - the reception a blast - and the couple.... completely in love!

AMANDA + DOUG = ENGAGED!!

This couple's first date was at Petrow's and rightly so, that is exactly where we began their engagement session. They were so much fun, easy to get along with and extremely laid back. Both of them giving me input as to what they wanted included in the shots, including Doug, when he wanted to make sure the new pipes on the bike were visible! Cracked me up.

Congrats to you both!

It'll Be All Okay...

I took family photos for a family friend of ours two days before he left for Afghanistan. It was a little bit tough for me, lots of pressure, I really wanted these pictures to be perfect for them. There were so many pictures that I fell in love with it was hard to pick which ones to share!

These girls were so much fun to photograph, they each have such different little personalities.

This shot was just perfect... I like the station sign with "Omaha Nebraska" shown on the sign and the number "10" signified him deploying in 2010.

Come to find out, they have also been married for 10 years.

This shot turned out really great as well, even though Devin is thousands of miles away, it gives me a feeling of daddy watching over his girls. Love it.

Quick Tease!

I took family photos for a friend last weekend. The day before the husband was deployed overseas. I took SO MANY pictures, it's taking quite some time to get through them all.

It's A Zack Attack!

The youngest of the nieces and nephews turned one this past weekend. Seems impossible that he has grown up so quickly. Such a little man, adorable in everyway and the faces he makes are priceless. We snapped a few First Birthday and family pics a few weeks back and I discovered one of my new favorite locations to shoot!

Happy Birthday

My little girl is turning FIVE on the 16th of February. She will be starting kindergarten this fall. She has grown up so fast, where did the past five years go! Happy Birthday Lucy!



My niece's birthday is also Tuesday and she will be turning SIX! Unbelievable....

Winter Session

I had the pleasure of photographing a friend from work and her two beautiful daughters.

They were so much fun to wotk with and all three are extremely photogenic!

This was kind of a tough session as I don't have many really good indoor locations to shoot at. Downtown has some really cool spots and I love the atmosphere so we braved the cold (for a while) then ended up in the Passageway for the majority of the pictures.

A New Chapter

My parents exited 2009 by moving out of the house we were raised in and moved into a beautiful new ranch. The new house is slightly smaller and all on one level which is a better layout for them. While I thought the move would be a tear-jerker, everyone did really well and there were very few, if any, kleenex needed. As a momento, I decided to make my parents a book of the old house with some memories. On Thanksgiving, I snapped some pictures of each room of the house, then went outside and snapped some of the different views of the house. I laid out the pages, found some incredible quotes and put together an amazing book for them. The book was given to them on Christmas Eve, about a week after being in the new house.... this is when the Kleenex were brought out! Here are a few snapshots of the final product:

Seems I have made one or both of my parents cry the past couple Christmases! My promise to them for next year is that I won't make them anything that will make them cry.
