Happy Birthday

My little girl is turning FIVE on the 16th of February. She will be starting kindergarten this fall. She has grown up so fast, where did the past five years go! Happy Birthday Lucy!



My niece's birthday is also Tuesday and she will be turning SIX! Unbelievable....

Winter Session

I had the pleasure of photographing a friend from work and her two beautiful daughters.

They were so much fun to wotk with and all three are extremely photogenic!

This was kind of a tough session as I don't have many really good indoor locations to shoot at. Downtown has some really cool spots and I love the atmosphere so we braved the cold (for a while) then ended up in the Passageway for the majority of the pictures.

A New Chapter

My parents exited 2009 by moving out of the house we were raised in and moved into a beautiful new ranch. The new house is slightly smaller and all on one level which is a better layout for them. While I thought the move would be a tear-jerker, everyone did really well and there were very few, if any, kleenex needed. As a momento, I decided to make my parents a book of the old house with some memories. On Thanksgiving, I snapped some pictures of each room of the house, then went outside and snapped some of the different views of the house. I laid out the pages, found some incredible quotes and put together an amazing book for them. The book was given to them on Christmas Eve, about a week after being in the new house.... this is when the Kleenex were brought out! Here are a few snapshots of the final product:

Seems I have made one or both of my parents cry the past couple Christmases! My promise to them for next year is that I won't make them anything that will make them cry.

Being the holidays, I thought it would be nice to share a few pictures of my family and extended family. Shown below are my aunt and uncle's families, my sister's family, and the whole kitten-caboodle of my entire family.... brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, children, husband, parents.... we are quite the group! This picture has even more meaning to it as it is the last family photo taken in the house we were raised in. In fact, I don't believe we have ever had an entire family picture taken in the comfort of our own home....

Sarah + Jeff = Engaged

Much anticipated. Long awaited. Here they are. Engagement session for my cousin, Sarah and her fiance, Jeff. This had to be the all-time funnest session I have ever done. We had my other two cousins along for the ride and we had a blast. Poor Jeff though, dragged around downtown, stuck in the car, forced to kiss, pose and do silly things in front of four girls. Thank God for him being a good sport!















I cannot wait until May to catch some pictures of their wedding....

Gavin and Ryder

Meet Gavin and Ryder. These two are the nephews of one of my good photographer friends... how anybody thought I was qualified to shoot their pictures, I will never know. But, I think I did pretty dang good, if I do say so myself. These two did great. They are definately all boy - much more important things to do than smiling into a camera (like running, jumping, climbing, exploring....)

Teeny Tiny Tatum

Tatum is such a tiny little bundle and at only 3 weeks old, did great for her photos. She was a trooper!
